THE 12 WEEK PROGRAM

Have you ever thought about having someone guide you through your health journey? Someone who will hold your hand each step of the way, guiding you and holding you accountable so you can actually follow through to achieve those goals no matter how big or small?

As an Integrative Health Coach, I help mums of young children increase energy, reduce anxiety and get back to the weight they feel most comfortable with. My program is designed to help mums feel comfortable in their own skin, prioritise themselves and their self-care and get organised so eating a nourishing diet doesn't need to be stressful. You will be guided in a way of eating that your body needs, as well as addressing common health concerns such as hormones, gut troubles and sleep concerns. Once we have eating on track, we will work on your primary foods - which are the ‘foods’ that feed us off the plate. Primary foods include relationships, physical activity, career and spirituality. If there is an imbalance in our diet, it is usually because there is an area of our primary food that needs improving.

Areas covered in the program

Each session over the 12 weeks, a different topic wll be covered to get you on the path to a healthier you! These areas are the most common issues I see mums having which are stopping them from achieveing their health goals.

Initial consultation

During this session, we will dive deep into your health history, uncovering any past symptoms that may help me to guide you to pinpoint which area of your health needs the most support and lead you in the right direction.

Session 1 - reducing inflammation

Inflammation is the root cause of all diseases. Making some simple swaps can help to lower inflammation in the body. In this session, you will learn how to do this without the stress.

Sessions 2 and 3 - gut health

Gut health is crucial for our overall well-being as it plays a huge role in digestion, absorption of vital nutrients, immune system regulation and healthy brain function. With today’s modern diet and lifestyle, it is very common for the gut to be out of balance. And for most women, there is so much to consider when feeding our microbiome the right things, it can be quite overwhelming! In these two sessions, we will uncover many of the things that could be harming your gut and introduce new diet and lifestyle techniques that will have a positive impact on your gut as improving and maintaining good gut health is essential for a healthy and happy life.

Session 4 - hormone balancing

Having a baby (or a few), high amounts of stress and a diet high in processed foods and sugar is the perfect recipe for your hormones to be out of balance! In this session, we will look at ways to balance out those hormones with the right nutrition and practical lifestyle changes.

Session 5 - stress reduction and self care

This is one area that is often ignored by mums. How often do you pack everyone else’s lunch, but forget about yours? Or how many times do you feel guilty about buying yourself a new pair of gym tights, even though you NEED them? I get it - it is in our nature to be the caretakers and prioritise our family’s needs, but you need to take care of yourself too! In many cases, women are just too tired to do anything for themselves. In this session, we are making the mindset shift and using the energy we have gained to put ourselves first! Increased self care = reduced stress

Session 6 - reducing toxins

We live in a toxic world - chemicals in our food, water and the air we breathe, cleaning and self-care products we are using daily and not to forget the kitchenware we cook with. In this session, we will work towards reducing your toxic load, so your liver can work more effectively to get the nasty things out. Reducing toxins is key to weight loss, reducing pain, hormone balancing, clearer thinking and reducing the risk of modern day diseases

What others are saying

“ Can not thank Michelle enough for helping me change the way I eat and break some bad habits. Thanks to her I’m eating better, have alot more energy and feel better about myself.
Highly recommend her 12 weeks program if you need help to get out of a bad health rut!”

“My goals upon starting the program with Michelle were to eat more for nutrition than weight loss, to introduce healthy eating habits for the whole family and portion control. Michelle introduced foods to me that I would usually steer clear of and showed me the health benefits whilst still losing weight

Michelle also helped me understand how foods may be affecting myself and the kids and helped me understand how important it is for all of us to be eating a wholesome variety of foods and to avoid additives and hormonal imbalances in foods

I never used to eat enough food and had no energy or result in weight loss Michelle gave me a portion chart and showed me how much of my plate should be taken up of grains, fats, fruit/vegetables, and protein to achieve my goals.

One of the changes I notices since starting the program is that I feel lighter and less bloated, I have way more energy, my skin is clearer and my hair grew longer. But the most significant change is my attitude towards food and knowledge of nutrition and what’s good for not only weight loss but my whole well-being.

Michelle is extremely knowledgeable and realistic and put me on the right path to achieve my goals and stick to them. She taught me that it was ok to have times where we give in to temptation as long as we listen to our bodies and get back on track and gave me the tools to be able to do that.

Michelle also taught me that health and nutrition is not just about the foods we eat and the way we look but how we feel physically and emotionally”

“My goals upon starting the program with Michelle were to feel better about myself, improve my health and lose weight. Michelle was able to help me towards my goals by giving me guidance with choices in my life, suggesting changes and helping me set goals. The changes I noticed since beginning the program were definitely better health overall, and better knowledge of food, but the most significant change was to my gut health and choices with food. Michelle is very personable, understanding, friendly and helpful

I really enjoyed my fortnight meetings with Michelle, I always left the meeting with a spring in my step and new things to do and try.”

FAQ’s

How long are the sessions?

Each fortnightly session runs for 30 minutes

I don’t like being on camera, can you phone me instead of a zoom call?

Yes of course!

Do you offer meal plans?

As an Integrative health coach, I cannot prescribe any type of meal plan, but I can provide recipes and ideas for you to create your own.

I like my own cooking, do I have to give up the foods I love?

Eating is a huge part of life and should be an enjoyable experience. I will teach you how to add in more nutrient-dense foods, so you will no longer reach for the not so healthy kind. I will teach you better ways of cooking and make some easy and healthy swaps that you or your family will not even notice.

What are Primary foods?

Primary foods are the foods that feed us off the plate. If there is an imbalance in our secondary foods (the food we eat) there is more than likely an imbalance in our primary foods. Primary foods include relationships with others, career, spirituality and physical activity. In the program, we also look at what areas of primary food you feel could be improved.

Can you prescribe supplements?

No, prescribing supplements is out of my scope of practice. I help clients heal through diet - after all ‘food is medicine’
